Koll 7000 Area: Phase 1 - 40,000 s.f. Site: 6 acres Cost: Phase 1 - $2.5 million Parking: 4 cars per 1,000 s.f. Designed for The Koll Co., one of Southern California's premier commercial developers, this two phase office project has been carefully integrated into the prestigous Carlsbad Research Center. The project's first phase consisted of two stories and 40,000 square feet, with the second phase standing at three stories and 60,000 square feet. Each building complements the other through its relationship in size, space, design and use of unique materials. A sophisticated corporate look is achieved through the utilitzation of solar gray glass and iron-spot brick walls. Curved, radius glass provides a dramatic design accent at the end of each building. The buildings are placed in a manner that creates plazas and courtyards throughout the site, thus achieving a campus atmosphere. Lush landscaping and elegant water features lend a touch of serenity to the central courtyards. |
