SPECIFICATION WRITER/QUALITY CONTROL

David Rausch is responsible for quality control review during the design development and construction document phases of projects. He works closely with DLM project teams in developing contract specifications to maintain consistency and clarity in bid documents. He is responsible for coordinating the Project Manual in technical content, product selection, and building systems, and for working with the client district to develop and maintain district standards of construction. Having joined DLM in 2012, David contributes to the firm’s professional development on emerging sustainable products and technologies by scheduling monthly lunch and learn programs sponsored by construction product representatives. Quality, durability, and life-cycle costing are key elements in selecting products for public school construction.

David has significant experience in Construction Administration and applies this knowledge base in performing his quality control reviews and in preparing specifications. David is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute and is active in the San Francisco chapter, where he recently completed a three-year term as chapter secretary.

David is an accomplished clarinetist and performs with the Walnut Creek Concert Band and Clarinet Fusion ensemble.
